*>$600 in the 2026-2027 program year assumes the participant receives a limited-time sign-up promotion and performance incentives. 1) Sign-up promotion: $100 for signing up and enrolling before 12/31/26. An additional $100 will be granted to the first 50 sites that successfully enroll in the program. 2) The performance incentive is based on the average discharge of ~2.67 kW across all events. Incentive is $126 for the first average kW discharged, plus $180 for each additional kW. In this case, ($126 x 1 + $180 x 1.67) = $426.6. Customers who opt out, miss events, or fail to participate due to low battery charge will have those events counted as 0 kW toward their annual average, proportionally reducing their total earnings.

Program
This program, sponsored by Efficiency Maine and operated by WeaveGrid, rewards customers with home batteries for helping keep electricity service reliable when the grid is working hardest.
On non-holiday weekdays, your battery may be automatically used for defined 3-hour periods to reduce strain on the system—supporting a more flexible, resilient grid for the whole community.
Participants receive rewards based on how much energy, on average across the program year, they share from their home battery system.
Once enrolled, you can review event details within the app for your home energy system.

WeaveGrid is currently offering 1) a sign-up promotion, 2) an early adopter promotion, and 3) annual program incentives.
Sign-up promotion
Customers who sign up before 12/31/26 can expect their sign-up bonus within 60 days. We require that you be enrolled and connected to our platform for at least 30 days before getting the incentive. Incentives are processed monthly, so you may need another month to meet the connectivity requirement.
Early adopter promotion
Customers who are among the first 50 to enroll, remain connected throughout the program year, and receive an additional $100 as part of their performance incentive.
Annual program incentives
Incentives will be paid out by July 31st following the end of the Program Year. For the 2026–2027 Program Year, expect payment by July 31, 2027.

When signing up, you will be prompted to sign into your electric vehicle (EV) or home charging station account to establish a connection and enable WeaveGrid to receive data on when, how much, and where EV charging occurs.
While this data is shared with WeaveGrid for Efficiency Maine in order to provide program benefits, we do not share your EV or personal data with third parties.
WeaveGrid is committed to securing users’ data. We maintain stringent data security procedures to prevent details about our users and their charging and driving patterns from being misused or disclosed to unauthorized parties.
The WeaveGrid platform uses SSL/TLS encryption to secure communications with various external data sources, such as utilities and vehicles. WeaveGrid also uses AES-256 encryption for securing personal information (PI), personally identifiable information (PII), and data at rest, hosted in our own virtual private cloud (VPC). Additionally, our information security management program is aligned with industry best practices and highly regarded IT governance frameworks such as ISO:27001, SOC2, and NIST CSF. This means we uphold the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer data in the utmost regard.
