The EVsmart Off-Peak Charging Credit is making electric vehicle (EV) adoption more accessible, convenient and affordable.

If you are an Atlantic City Electric Residential electric supply customer through Basic Generation Service (BGS) who charges an eligible EV or PHEV at home with a qualified level 2 charger, the EVsmart Off-Peak Charging Credit can earn you a per kWh charging credit for all net off-peak charging (weekends and 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. EST Monday to Friday).

By participating in this program, you’ll earn $0.02 per kWh plus any associated sales and use tax (SUT) for all net off-peak charging. Peak hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST, Monday-Friday.

You’ll receive these rewards as a check delivered twice per calendar year, totaling the net off-peak charging credit for every 6-month period.

• You must be at least 18 years of age

• You must have one or more Devices that are compatible with and connected to the DER Vendor platform (“Service”) and compatible with the Program design

• You must maintain an active account in good standing on the Service and a continuous connection between your enrolled Electric Vehicle, Devices and the Service

• You must have an active residential electric account with your Program Administrator and receive your electricity supply as part of the Electric Vehicle Basic Generation Service (BGS) Rider

• You must ensure that the vehicle being enrolled is not already participating in the Off Peak Charging Credit program, via charger or vehicle telematics options; a customer whose vehicle is already enrolled will receive an application rejection notice for the new application because the vehicle is already enrolled in the program

This program is available to select models of Tesla, Jeep, Toyota, or Lexus electric vehicles or plug-in hybrids.

You must also charge your vehicle at home with an Energy Star certified Level 2 residential home charging station.

The WeaveGrid platform uses SSL/TLS encryption to secure communications with various external data sources, such as utilities and vehicles. WeaveGrid also uses AES-256 encryption for securing personal information (PI), personally identifiable information (PII), and data at rest, hosted in our own virtual private cloud (VPC). Additionally, our information security management program is aligned with industry best practices and highly regarded IT governance frameworks such as ISO:27001, SOC2, and NIST CSF. This means we uphold the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer data in the utmost regard.

Your vehicle or charger tells WeaveGrid when your EV is charging after you have established a connection to your vehicle or home charging station.
