Program
Once your EV is connected in the registration process and you've been enrolled, your charging will be optimally scheduled each time you plug in at home.
WeaveGrid identifies the lowest-cost periods you can charge in order to meet your upcoming driving needs (while considering overall grid conditions) and automatically schedules your EV to charge during those periods.
You'll receive notifications about your upcoming schedule through your preferred method (web and/or SMS texts) and can skip your proposed charge schedule if needed.
SCE residents in the "Gateway Cities" are eligible to join.
Yes! It is risk-free and you can un-enroll at any time.
• Must be a customer of SCE (select zip codes only) and charge in their territory
• Have a qualifying Tesla electric vehicle or Wallbox, ChargePoint or Emporia home charger
• Your vehicle must remain connected to WeaveGrid for duration of the program to receive incentive
• You can't be currently enrolled in another utility-sponsored managed charging program
Tesla EVs are eligible for Charge Smart - SoCal.
If you do not own a Tesla, you can also enroll with a ChargePoint®, Emporia®, or Wallbox® home charging station.

Automatic Smart Charging
Each time you plug in, WeaveGrid makes a smart charging plan for your car.
The plan uses information from SCE. It looks at the price of power, how many people are using power at the time, and how much clean power, like solar or wind, is available. Then it picks the best times to charge, so your car is ready by the time you set.
Sometimes your charging may start later or pause to avoid high cost or high power usage times.
You are always in control. If you need to charge right away, you can override the plan. If you override often, you may save less and earn smaller rewards.
Charging off-peak is a good habit and can save you money. WeaveGrid builds on this and enables you to save and earn more money directly from SCE.
WeaveGrid takes into account things beyond off-peak charging, like when there are a lot of people using power at once, or when clean energy is available, to help the environment and keep power reliable and affordable for everyone. In return for these benefits, SCE offers rewards when you participate.

When you sign up, you log in to your car or charger account. This lets WeaveGrid see when, how much, and where you charge.
We share this data with SCE so you can get program rewards. We do not share your car or personal data with other companies.
WeaveGrid is committed to securing users’ data. We maintain stringent data security procedures to prevent details about our users and their charging and driving patterns from being misused or disclosed to unauthorized parties.
We take steps to keep your data safe. We use encryption, which scrambles your data so only the right people can read it. Our security program follows well-known industry standards.
If you want the details: The WeaveGrid platform uses SSL/TLS encryption to secure communications with various external data sources, such as utilities and vehicles. WeaveGrid also uses AES-256 encryption for securing personal information (PI), personally identifiable information (PII), and data at rest, hosted in our own virtual private cloud (VPC). Additionally, our information security management program is aligned with industry best practices and highly regarded IT governance frameworks such as ISO:27001, SOC2, and NIST CSF. This means we uphold the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer data in the utmost regard.
